Laoag City Lass is New Miss Earth Philippines 2016

26-year-old beauty queen from Laoag City, Loren Mar Artajos, replaced Imelda Schweighart, after quitting the pageant days after a video of her attacking the Miss Earth winner goes viral. Loren Artajos, who was crowned Miss Philippines Earth-Water in this year’s pageant, now will take over as Miss Philippines Earth 2016.

Miss Philippines Earth-Air, Kiara Giel Gregorio, who was runner-up to Imelda, was unable to accept the position because of her studies in London. Nevertheless,  Kiara Giel Gregorio congratulated Loren for taking the position and even wrote a message to her via Instagram, Your humilIty and passion towards our cause just proves how deserving you are of this title. I knew it from the beginning. This is yours, you got this! We love you! On behalf of your 45 other MPE 2016 sisters, Congratulations my Lorentot!!! All hail the new Queen! Your new Miss Philippines Earth , Loren Mar Artajos.”

Loren Mar Artajos is from Barangay 1, San Lorenzo Laoag City and she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at Mariano Marcos State University. She also worked at St. Luke’s Medical Center, Global City. She invoked her Environmental advocacy, “I want to be an advocate of the environment, spread awareness of the current climate change issue the world is facing today, and implement measures to mitigate global warming”.

Added to that, Loren Mar Artajos pledged to coordinate with our Miss Earth 2016 Katherine Espin of Ecuador, as they will work together to pursue their advocacies.

Now that Miss Laoag City Loren Mar Artajos is the newly crowned Miss Earth Philippines 2016, she is now ready to fulfil her dreams not just for herself or her family, but also for all Laoagenos who are so proud of her, including City Mayor Chevylle Fariñas who was quoted on her radio interview, “if it was meant to be, it is meant to be”!
