CDRRMC’s Search and Rescue Ambulance to Beef up Laoag City’s Disaster Preparation and Response
Once again, Laoag City is making strides into living up with its 24/7 disaster preparedness and response campaign, SELNAG: Save Every Life with Nobility And Grace, with the addition of the recently acquired brand new Mitsubishi L300 FB Ambulance. City Disaster Risk Reduction and Risk Management Council (CDRRMC) Chairperson, Hon. Chevylle V. Fariñas is as ever intensifying her administration’s efforts in securing the safety and well-being of Laoagueños amidst the face of increasing magnitude of destructiveness of our natural calamities due to climate change.
Laoag City’s vision of zero casualty will surely be accomplished each year as additional vehicles and equipment continue to be procured in increasing numbers. This ambulance shall be assigned to City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer III, Melvin Medel D. Manuel, MD, and the Laoag City Search and Rescue Group.
This move of the city will, hopefully again, make Laoag City as a Regional Awardee in the Gawad Kalasag Search.
