After a lifetime of working, raising families, and contributing to the success of this nation in countless other ways, senior citizens of Laoag City deserve to retire with dignity.
The City Government of Laoag has always believed that our beloved senior citizens have and will always be a source of inspiration to our society. Their wisdom of life has continuously served as guidance to the young and younger, so, as an expression of praise ,the City has always shown its love and support to the elderly through its various programs and activities such as senior citizens’ socialization during the Agserbi 24/7 in all the barangays of Laoag City.
On July 17, 2017 after the flag raising ceremony, the centenarians were recognized by officials from the DSWD Regional Field Office I together with the officialdom of Laoag City. Regional Director Marcelo Nicomedes Castillo and Laoag City Mayor Chevylle V. Farinas personally awarded the 100 Thousand peso cash incentives.

Indeed life is truly beautiful, let’s make the most out of it and take care of ourselves just like our centenarians. Let us face life with much vigor… eat right and do right! Let us celebrate longevity!
