SETTING UP SCANNERS FOR BUSINESS ESTABLISHMENTS

Listed below are guides and information on use of the application and steps to follow to link your device to the scan module of the app. Scanners device can be Smartphone or a tablet with a working camera and must be stably connected to the internet. Below are the recommended specifications of the device/s.

  • Minimum requirements
    • For Android, minimum required specifications are the following:
      • RAM: at least 2GB
      • Camera : at least 13MP
      • Display: at least 6 inches
      • Android Version: At least Android 9
    • For Apple, minimum required specifications are the following:
      • IOS version: At least IOS 8 and up

To set up your device as scanner, follow the following steps.

  • Setting up your device as a scanner
    • Connect your device to the internet via Wi-Fi or data connection.
    • On your browser (Google Chrome, Safari, Samsung Internet Browser, etc.) type scan.safepass.ph

  • Enter scanner code
    • Note: Scanner code is a unique 4 character code provided to you by laoagcty.icto@gmail sent thru email upon registration and click on LINK DEVICE.

  • Enter the following values:
    • Location: LaoagPass (do not change)
  • Monitoring Point (choose the name of your establishment)
    • Choose IN/OUT
    • and click on SCAN
  • A pop-up will show this message:
    • Allow scan.safepass.ph to use your camera?
    • Click ALLOW
  • Your scanner is now ready to scan (make sure that your business name appears here).

  • Scanning QR codes
    • Make sure QR codes are SafePass QR codes.
    • You will see a green check mark if you scan the QR correctly.
    • First scan is considered IN (counter will increase).
    • Second scan is considered OUT (counter will decrease).
  • For the scanner device
    • Turn off auto lock screen.
    • Plug in to power outlet.
    • Click RESET button at the start of the day or the 1st scan of the day.
