MAYOR KEON HANDS IN CASH INCENTIVE TO A CENTENARIAN

On November 4, 2022, Mayor Michael Marcos Keon visited Nana Felipa Alonzo Reyes at Brgy. 43 Cavit, Laoag City, and turned over the check amounting to Php 100,000.00 as part of the city government’s incentive to her for reaching the age of 100. She celebrated her 100th birthday on September 28, 2022.

In his visit, Mayor Keon witnessed how Nana Felipa smoked using tobacco, which is her form of therapy and self-satisfaction. According to Brgy Captain Jerry Alonzo, Nana Felipa was the third centenarian in his term to be given a cash incentive in their barangay.

In addition, the Mayor thanked Mrs. Perlita Cabello, Head of the City Social Welfare and Development Office; Mrs. Fe Respocio, Focal Person for Senior Citizens; Mr. Ernesto Tamayo, Head of the Office of Senior Citizens Affairs; and Mrs. Nelly Alonzo, BASCA President, for processing the documents of Nana Felipa.
