Mayor MMK personally hands in to the centenarians their incentive from the City Government
NEWSFLASH: Together with SP members Handy Lao, Rbee Ablan and Jaybee Baquiran, City Mayor Michael Marcos Keon personally visited and handed in P100,000.00 each to centenarians Felicidad Bumanglag of Brgy. 54-A Lagui Sail, Maria Alonzo of Brgy. 30-B Sta. Maria and Agustin Pablo of Brgy. 41 Balacad.
The incentive is a counterpart of the city government on the national government’s program of giving incentives to centenarians. Laoag City was recently recognized by the DSWD Regional Office No. 1 as one among the three local government units in Region 1 that has a counterpart of the program.
The group was joined by the personnel of the City Social Welfare and Development Office headed by Mrs. Perlita Cabello and Mr. Ernesto Tamayo from the Office of Senior Citizens Affairs. Barangay officials had joined the group in their respective barangays particularly Brgy. Chairmen Beverly Juan, Glenford Paguirigan and Alicia Bonoan.
