Governor Matthew Marcos Manotoc, the newly-elected Chairperson of the Council, presided over the meeting that was attended by RDC-1 Co-Chairperson Ms. Mary Jane Ortega, EDSeCom Ms. Red Annie Bares, Governor Jerry Singson of Ilocos Sur, Mayor Albert Chua of Batac City, Mayor Hermenegildo Gualberto of San Fernando City, LMP Ilocos Norte President and Dingras Mayor Joefrey Saguid, LMP Pangasinan President and Lingayen Mayor Leopoldo Bataoil, Private Sector Representative for Governance Engr. Larry Cabatic, and City Planning and Development Coordinator Ms. Ruby Ann Bunalade.
One of the agenda presented was the draft of Regional Development Plan for 2023-2028 which is based on President Bongbong Marcos’ 8-Point Economic Agenda which seeks to improve job creation and accelerate poverty reduction while addressing the issues brought by COVID-19 pandemic.
