Distribution of Agricultural Inputs

The City Government of Laoag, through the City Agriculture Office, distributed various agricultural inputs and fishery projects to local farmers and fisherfolks such as inbred palay seeds, hybrid yellow corn seeds, non-motorized banca, fishing paraphernalia and other equipment. In addition to these, the city government also gave the CAFC Palay Trading fund to the members of the City Agriculture and Fishery Council, just in time for the second crop season. The banca will be utilized to safeguard our waters.

The distribution was personally led by the Mayor Michael Marcos Keon and was witnessed and supported by City Vice Mayor Vicentito Lazo, Councilor Handy Lao and Councilor Justin Clarence Chua, and the kapitanes Adremalec Tayamen of Brgy. 33-B La Paz, Kapitan Rodel Legaspi of Brgy. 34-B Gabu Norte, Kapitan Gil Ramos, Sr. of Brgy. 35 Gabu Sur, Kapitan Marvelyn Padayao of Brgy. 37 Calayab, Kapitan Jogie Salvador of Brgy. 42 Apaya, and Kapitan Jerry Corpuz of Brgy. 62-A Navotas North.

The Mayor vouched his unwavering support to the agriculture sector as it is one of the major driving forces affecting our local economy.
