MAYOR MMK ATTENDS THE GROUNDBREAKING OF PADSAN RESTORATION
NEWSFLASH: Mayor Michael Marcos Keon attended the Groundbreaking and Inauguration Ceremony of the Padsan River Restoration Project Phase I on December 15, 2022, at Brgy. 35 Gabu Sur, Laoag City.
The dredging of the Padsan River is a collaboration between the Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte through the initiative of Governor Matthew Marcos Manotoc together with Atty. Yvette Convento-Leynes, Provincial Administrator and Engr. Judith Guinyang, Provincial Mining Operations Officer including the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Mines and Geosciences Bureau, Environmental Management Bureau, and Department of Public Works and Highways, and He Sha Prime Sand and Gravel Aggregates, Inc., the company that was awarded the Operations Permit for the dredging project.
Also present during the ceremony were Mr. Ignacio Richie Balicanta, President of He Sha Prime Sand and Gravel Aggregates, Inc., Mr. Martin Araneta, Atty. Abby. Sestoso, Project Manager, Atty. Crizaldy Barcelo, DENR Region 1 Executive Director, Engr. Mathias Malenab, DPWH Region 1 Asst. Regional Director, Engr. Maria Dorica Naz-Hipe, DENR-EMB 1 Regional Director, Vice Governor Cecilia Araneta Marcos, Board Members Donald Nicolas, Medeldorf Gaoat, and Rafael Chua Media, Vice Mayor Rey Carlos Farinas, Mr. Hanson Chua, Brgy. Captains of the barangays affected by the dredging project, and heads of various departments of the provincial and city government.
