LAOAG CITY THROUGH MAYOR MMK GRANTS USUFRUCT FOR THE PHIL. COAST GUARD STATION

NEWSFLASH: Mayor Michael Marcos Keon signed a Deed of Usufruct with the Philippine Coast Guard represented by Commodore Phillips Y. Soria for the establishment of its station and training center in Laoag City on December 20, 2022, involving 2.5 hectares of land at Brgy. 33-A La Paz, Laoag City with the intent to establish also the Philippine Coast Guard’s Regional Training Center that will cater to graduates who aspire to become members of the Philippine Coast Guard.

Present during the ceremony were members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod led by Vice Mayor Rey Carlos Fariñas, Councilors Enrico Ang, Jeff Fariñas, Jaybee Baquiran, Juan Conrado Respicio, John Michael Fariñas, Jason Bader Perera, and ABC President Mikee Fariñas together with City Administrator Atty. Roxanne Lee Castro, Atty. Franklin Calumag of the Legal Office, City Information Officer Atty. Charito Malicad, Kap Lolito Pascual of Brgy. 32-A, Kap Estelino Antonio of Brgy. 32-B, Kap Jerome Asuncion of Brgy. 32-C, Kap Pablo Martin of Brgy. 33-A, and Kap Adremalec Tayamen of Brgy. 33-B.

Also present on the part of the Philippine Coast Guard were Captain Paolo Abejuela, Superintendent, Coast Guard Officer’s School and Acting Director at Regional Training Center Bataan; Lieutenant Junior Grade Marie Rose Ignacio, Station Commander, Coast Guard Station Ilocos Norte; Auxiliary Commander Marjorie Rasay, Auxiliary Director, Philippine Coast Guard of 703rd Squadron; Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer Marlon L Borromeo, Sub-Station Commander, Coast Guard Sub-Station Bacarra; Coast Guard Petty Officer Second Class Dainty Peralta, Deputy Sub-Station Commander, Coast Guard Sub-Station Pasuquin; and Coast Guard Petty Officer Third Class Jerome S Supangan, Sub-Station Commander, Coast Guard Sub-Station Pagudpud.
